Used in conjunction with your overall marketing strategy, publishing a regular newsletter is an effective way to establish yourself as a true expert in your clients’ eyes – a leader in your field – and probably the one they’ll call the next time they need a service or product like yours.

If you have the time and like reading instructions and watching online how-to videos, you can work out how to do all this for free on the web. There’s lots of really great information out there.
But, if you just want to get on with promoting your business, we know from our experience with our existing clients, that nothing beats having someone show you how, and even better, then having them watch and guide you as you do it for the first time yourself, saving you huge amounts of time and ultimately saving you money.
One-to-one training at your own learning pace (whether you’re computer-savvy or slightly technophobic) and if you’re part of a team, we’ll set up a group training so you’re all up to speed together.

Step 1 – Build your framework (approx 60-75 mins)
In the first session, together we create a newsletter template that’s consistent with your Brand and that feels right – this will be the framework that you use every time you send out a newsletter. We add your logo, create a header, choose colours, fonts and layout. Beautiful…
Step 2 – Learn to drive MailChimp (approx 60 mins)
Next, let us walk and talk you through the basic controls you’ll need (the MailChimp dashboard). You’ll import your current mailing list (or start one), learn to navigate the controls, get confident with moving content around, use headlines & formatting, and add a few photos & links. Ta da…
Step 3 – Content, content, content (approx 60 mins)
It’s this that has the power to take you from where you are right now to where you want to be in your clients’ mind. In the next session, you translate your expertise in your field, your knowledge of your clients and their needs and whatever’s going on in your business into interesting and engaging content for your readers – (it’s often a lot easier than you may think). You may want some time by yourself after this session to really engage with and develop your own material. We throw in supportive tips and feedback to help you all the way.
Step 4 – and Go? (approx 30-45 mins)
Before you send your first newsletter out, there are a few pre-flight checks you should know and practice. We’ll also make sure you have your newsletter strategy, however sketchy, in place.. and how to monitor the results of your efforts and track your success. Fun, fun, fun… So, up and publishing in just 4 hours – ideally 2 sessions of around 2 hours, but it’s up to you – time your sessions to suit your schedule.

Plus, of course, you can have your website linked up to your newsletter. You can add incentives to encourage people to sign up to read it. If you have a blog, you can feed your newsletter with content from it. You can hook up Social Networking tools like Facebook and Twitter too – you can just keep expanding your ‘virtual footprint’ as they say… got a particular niche or need ideas – just ask!
